Noel Deyzel is one of the most popular fitness influencers, noted for his training and nutrition tips for all and his life advice for young men. Let’s get to know him.

An amateur bodybuilder, popular fitness influencer, and successful businessman

Daddy Noel is Noel Deyzel’s nickname. Some of his fans write him questions addressed to “Daddy.” He earned the nickname on TikTok because he advises young men on the kinds of topics, in and out of the gym, a father might explain to his son: from how to use lifting straps to how to tie a tie, jump-start a car battery, and best shave your face.

Noel and his sister grew up in a troubled household in South Africa. His father abused his mother before they separated, and his father spent years in prison. His mother worked two jobs to support the family, but still the kids sometimes went hungry. As a gangly child, Noel was bullied, so he began lifting weights to fill out his tall frame. On his own, he had to learn many of the things his absent dad should’ve taught him—lessons he would later share on social media.

While attending college, where he studied business, Deyzel began competing in bodybuilding. He worked for a Johannesburg telecommunications company. All the while, he continued to grow. At 23 with only $800 to his name, he launched his own software company.

Denzel began posting on his self-titled YouTube channel. Through personal videos, he found his voice and his passion in helping others. He offers training, nutritional, and general lifestyle advice, but he also encourages mental health, honesty, and kindness, in sometimes humorous, sometimes confessional videos that typically last just a few minutes. His most popular video (with 15 million views) is titled: “Why I’m open about my steroid use.”

As his social media fame grew, Daddy Noel applied his business acumen to fitness. He launched his own website, Deyzel Industries, to offer workout and eating plans. He also has his own signature line of Stim Daddy preworkouts with Ryse Supplements. Though he’ll never be a pro competitive bodybuilder, he’s made bodybuilding his profession via his business and his worldwide social media fame.

Yes. Deyzel came out as gay in an interview posted on YouTube in 2021.

He’s very honest about his own earlier struggles with bullying, body image, poverty, and depression. He shared this important message for anyone else struggling: “We didn’t choose our parents, where we were born, or what we were given, but I can assure you, you’re exactly where you need to be right now. I didn’t choose to be poor, and I didn’t choose for my father to leave, but I certainly wouldn’t be the person I am today if it wasn’t for those challenges. I wouldn’t have what I have if it wasn’t for that hardship. These challenges make you incredibly hard and resilient. All you have to do is not give up.”

Tattooed on his right upper arm is the saying: “Nurture your mind with great thoughts, to believe in heroic make heroes.” There is also a cross and “I am” on his right inner wrist, expressing his Christian identity.

No. He’s honest about his use of anabolic steroids, and he’s critical of other fitness influences who use PEDs but deny it. Deyzel explains the many health precautions he takes. However, he will not give out information about what he does because he says, “The last thing I ever want to do is promote and encourage the use of steroids, especially to a younger audience.”
