Senada Greca is one of the world’s most popular fitness influencers. This was true before she began training Kim Kardashian last year, but that certainly helped boost her cred. Unlike so many others who adopt the fitness influencer label but post only an endless Instragram stream of bodacious glute poses and too-perfect lifestyle shots, Greca really delivers the fitness content we love. Her social media streams are full of detailed workouts and recipes as well as functional training and nutritional advice. She’s both smart and jacked, with a set of abs that pro bodybuilders would envy. So let’s get to know Senada Greca.

She’s currently 41. She was born August 30, 1982.

She was born and raised in Albania.

As the Kosovo War came to a close in 1999, the year Senada turned 17, she, with her parents and two younger sisters, immigrated to the United States.

On Instagram, Senada Greca wrote: “As a teen I struggled with self confidence and self image and I yo-yo-ed in trying so hard to fit that thin image that society had for women. I starved, I binged, and everything in the middle. Only when I stepped into my own strength, once I allowed myself to think outside of ‘only doing cardio’ mentality, once I started lifting weights and eating for health and longevity and not the number on a scale, did I start to not only stabilize in weight, but achieve sustainable goals. The aesthetics became a byproduct, not the goal.”

Greca earned her MBA from Binghamton University, where she played rugby. She worked in finance in New York City. Searching for something more fulfilling, she shifted to the medical industry but still felt trapped in the corporate world. At the time, her fitness was mostly distance running. She ran three marathons.

Greca says: “What didn’t feel like a chore was movement—no matter how that manifested. I had known for a long time that my calling was to help others, to be of service. Knowing what movement had done for me, physically and mentally, I connected the dots. I realized that I could help others on a large scale do the same. While my MBA would eventually help with the business aspect of things, my drive, my passion, my innate ability to connect with movement and help others do the same, were my springboard. I acquired the necessary accreditation for fitness, movement, and yoga, but what was the most helpful and distinguishing factor, was my hunger for information and experience in not just moving properly but also moving mindfully.”

“I am constantly learning from gurus, working to put teaching into practice and listening closely to my body. Equipped with all of this knowledge and experience, I decided to start sharing my full, daily workouts on Instagram in the hope of helping anyone and everyone that would come across my page. This brought about tremendous growth as people saw the value in what I was providing, absolutely free of charge.”

Her height is around 5’5″ (165 cm.).

Her weight is estimated at around 125 pounds (57 kg.)

Her net worth is not public, and any figures are just wild guesses. She currently owns the “fitness and empowerment” platform and app WeRise and the fitness wear company Zentoa.

Senada Greca explains: “The mind-muscle connection is all about slowing down the movements, focusing on the working muscle, not lifting more than we are able to but rather focusing on correct form, thinking about and actually feeling that muscle contract. The more ‘present’ we are with the muscle(s) being worked, the more we maximize results, and the better we are at sculpting the physique we desire.”

“The brain signals the body to move a particular weight or move a certain way, so it’s easy to see that if we place our full attention, connecting the mind to muscle, we maximize the benefits of whatever movement we are performing. I utilize the mind-muscle connection, focusing on the working muscles, also as a form of meditation, which in itself has benefits. I am removed from the daily concerns of stresses of work, what will I have for lunch later, etc.”

In a recent interview, she said: “I am a sincere believer that fitness and movement should be an inseparable part of someone’s life. We were born to be active, born to be mobile. Thus I encourage people to make movement fun and interesting, and in turn sustainable. All someone needs to do is take a digital stroll through my Instagram to see loads of novelty and get excited to try out new effective exercises. I think many people fall off the proverbial wagon because exercise and nutrition become boring and monotonous.”

“I believe we need to constantly seek growth. This means doing things like trying new movements that push us out of our comfort zone, finding a new recipe that is not typical to what we normally eat, and changing our routine. I understand that more traditional fitness experts prefer the same exercises we all grow up with, and for many that consistency is what they prefer. However, I think there are a lot of people that would have an easier time making health and fitness a lifelong habit if they leveraged novelty. At the end of the day, I truly believe that novelty is a human need that leads to sustainability.”
